The Michelada – A Mexican Mixed Drink

Earlier this year I took a trip to Tulum, Mexico. It is a beautiful sandy escape perfect for lounging on the beach with drink in hand, until well bronzed and ready for a siesta.

On the first day of my trip, I found myself appropriately standing barefoot in the sand and belly up to a bar contemplating my drink order. It didn’t take more than a moment to come to my conclusion.

An Introduction to Tulum, Mexico (Photos)

Just an hour and a half south of Cancun, by car, lies Tulum, a sleepy beach getaway destination – a favorite among those in the know.

For years it has been a yoga retreat destination and the location of many a supermodel shoot. And it has stayed off the radar, as far as a place to stay, for the average tourists who come to the region. But lately, Tulum has been popping up on blogs, in newspapers and magazines more than ever before.

And if you ask me, you better get down there to experience it before it gets spoiled.

Ibiza the Beautiful

Ibiza, Spain is an incredible place on this planet that made an indelible mark on my life. It is known internationally as a party destination, like Mykonos or Miami.  And, because of its rep, many people rule it out when planning their vacations.  But that’s not the part of the island that interests me most.
