Private Cenotes and Jungle Lodging in Mexico

When delving a little deeper into life along the Mayan Riviera I found the wonderful Villas Balam-Ha – a bungalow hotel and villa tucked into the jungle. It is 2o minutes from Playa del Carmen, 15 from Tulum and five minutes from Akumal beach. It holds up to ten people and includes a pool, wi-fi, tv, and telephone. Be sure to check out all their photos because I didn’t take any of the villa itself. But I did make this video of my experience exploring the grounds. You are probably now wondering, “Ok, how can I stay at that place?” You can find it on Facebook here. Like 4th of July or Christmas, these celebrations clearly evoked fond memories from growing up in India for many on the boat. The powder itself was light like baby powder and smelt…

Traveling + Friends = GOOD

Our friendships are a very important component to our lives that is all too often pushed down our priority list. Maybe it is because we are overwhelmed at work, plunge into romantic relationships, have children or move away. Whatever the reason, many of us have a nagging feeling that we would like to reconnect with our friends. And the question is, what do we do when a comment on Facebook – or even a lunch date or a drink – just doesn’t feel like enough? That’s right. It’s time for a girlfriend getaway or “man-cation” or whatever term suits the gender of you and your friends.…
