I’m on my way to Cabo!

This week I’m headed to Cabo to dip my toes into the Pacific Ocean, South of the border! I’ll be experiencing Cabo having booked entirely through Expedia. It’s not just my flight, I’m also booked at a hotel on Expedia.com, The Cape – A Thompson Hotel. And I’m scheduled on what look like really fun tours. I’ll be horseback riding on the beach and through the desert. I’ll be taking a Sunset Cruise with Tequila Tasting. I’ll be taking a tour of the city and getting up close to sea life. All these tours and many more worldwide can be booked on the Expedia Local Expert® page or in the “Things to do” section when you are booking hotels and…

The Women’s Travel Fest 2015 #VIDEO

This month I attended an event in San Francisco that was created entirely to empower and encourage women to travel. The Women’s Travel Fest is open to the public for anyone who wants to learn more about travel, how to plan their next trip, and to meet other courageous women who want to journey the world. I went to last year’s event as a speaker and returned this year to cover the event for Expedia in the video above. And I have to say, it is truly a coming-together of like-minded women yearning to make their travel dreams come true. The energy and camaraderie was electric. On stage were knowledgeable women who have created careers in travel as journalists, magazine…

Reconnecting in Romantic Budapest, Oh yes!

This is a picture of the beautiful and surprising city of Budapest, a place that served to rekindle the flames of my long distance love affair. I’m currently in my third year of long distance with my boyfriend who lives in London. The over 5,400 miles that often separate us (I live in Los Angeles) are a real test of our bond. There is a distinct bittersweet quality to it all. Our meetings are so full of joy and passion. But our time apart can be agonizing. The distance seems to slow down the days, weeks, and months. When we are in the same place, we visit each other in our respective cities and meet up in destinations around the…

A Glimpse of Koreatown in Los Angeles #photos

I love spending Sunday afternoons in Koreatown in Los Angeles. Roughly situated between W 3rd Street and Olympic Blvd, and Western and Vermont Ave – this part of town has its own flavor and culture that will make you feel like you’ve traveled to a place far away. I am fascinated by the many inviting malls, coffee shops, authentic Korean restaurants and spas to explore. Check out these pictures below to get a feel for Ktown LA. And read my guide to the neighborhood on Expedia Viewfinder: Koreatown Rising. There is no shortage of things to buy. Buy. Buy. You can get yourself a little Seoul fashion… Find inexpensive home goods from Daiso…   Pick up Korean beauty products from…

Top Tips for Planning a Trip to #LosAngeles

As a travel journalist, I write for various online outlets, one of them being the Expedia Viewfinder Blog. Along with a close-knit group of prominent bloggers, I post about my journeys around the world.  For the Expedia blog, I’ve covered destinations in Spain, The Bahamas, Mexico, Costa Rica, Italy, Hawaii, Utah, and my state of California. In fact, I’ve also made a habit of writing about my hometown of Los Angeles. And I’ve created a collection of works over the last few months on Expedia Viewfinder that are highly useful for planning a trip to my city. Here are 7 articles I’ve published on the platform so far all about where to eat and what to do in Los Angeles:…

Camping is not really my thing – like, at all! But sometimes I crave being in nature. Those moments disconnecting from city life and getting totally immersed in wilderness recharges my soul.
